Snoqualmie Yoga
Instructor:
Suma Gopal is the founder of Anahatha Academy, an initiative dedicated to yoga, mindfulness, and ancient Indian wisdom. With a deep commitment to unlocking the transformative power of yoga and the rich teachings of Indic culture, Suma brings a unique blend of expertise, passion, and compassion to her work.
As an RYT 500 and RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher), Suma has trained in the classical Raja Yoga tradition, with a special focus on integrating holistic well-being practices for both children and adults. Her approach blends ancient wisdom with modern science, equipping students of all ages with the tools they need to cultivate balance in body, mind, and spirit.
Her classes feature a thoughtfully curated blend of Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing), Mudras (gestures), Bandhas (energy locks), and Dhyana (meditation). Designed for different age groups, her teaching provides a well-rounded experience that promotes physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.
Beyond her work as a yoga instructor and mindfulness coach, Suma is also a children’s book author, weaving the principles of yoga and mindfulness into her stories to inspire and educate young minds.
Suma’s teaching philosophy is centered on empowering individuals—children and adults alike—to lead mindful, healthy, and joyful lives. Through Anahatha Academy, she has created a nurturing space where students can deepen their connection to themselves and the world around them.
Her mission is to guide students of all ages in cultivating self-awareness, emotional resilience, and physical vitality through the practices of yoga, mindfulness, and the rich traditions of India.
